Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with accuracy and urgency
- Operate multi-channel radio systems to coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and activities
- Utilize CAD systems for real-time tracking and resource allocation
- Provide critical information to field units during emergency situations
- Remain calm and professional during high-stress incidents
- Adhere to all departmental policies and confidentiality requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Exceptional verbal communication and active listening skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency with computer systems and multi-tasking abilities
- Must be 21 years of age and a U.S. citizen
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence charges
