Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Operate radio communication systems to coordinate police, fire, and medical responses
- Maintain detailed logs and incident reports using CAD systems
- Provide critical information to officers and emergency services during incidents
- Remain calm under pressure while managing high-stress situations
- Adhere to all department policies and confidentiality requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- U.S. citizenship and valid California driver's license
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Clear speaking voice and exceptional communication skills
- No felony convictions and good moral character
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
