Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire, and EMS services
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and radio communications
- Provide clear, concise information to first responders during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed call logs and documentation in compliance with protocols
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during large-scale emergencies
- Utilize geographic mapping systems to determine optimal resource deployment
- Remain calm and professional under high-stress situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum 18 years of age at time of appointment
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 90% accuracy
- Basic computer proficiency and multi-tasking abilities
- Clear speaking voice and excellent communication skills
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanors
