Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with accuracy and empathy
- Dispatch police officers, firefighters, and EMS units using CAD systems
- Maintain detailed records of all communications and incidents
- Operate radio systems and multi-line telephones during critical events
- Provide crisis intervention and life-saving instructions to callers
- Collaborate with other agencies during multi-jurisdictional incidents
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Strong multitasking and decision-making abilities
- Fluent English proficiency with clear diction
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence charges
