Responsibilities
- Answer emergency/non-emergency calls, assess situations, and dispatch appropriate emergency services
- Operate radio systems, computer-aided dispatch (CAD), and telephone equipment
- Maintain detailed logs of incidents, actions, and communications
- Provide clear instructions to callers during emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Enter and retrieve information from law enforcement databases
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and procedural protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the US
- Pass criminal background check, drug screen, and psychological evaluation
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in high-stress environments
- Basic computer proficiency and typing speed (35+ WPM)
- No felony convictions and clean driving record
