Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage for weapons, explosives, and prohibited items using X-ray machines and manual inspection techniques
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and walk-through metal detector screenings
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to security alerts with immediate action
- Operate advanced imaging technology and communication systems
- Enforce TSA security regulations with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security records
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass thorough background check and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Strong communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish preferred)
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn security technologies
