Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls, prioritize incidents, and dispatch appropriate units
- Operate radio systems and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical situations
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers in emergency scenarios
- Monitor multiple communication channels simultaneously
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Proficient typing with minimum 40 WPM accuracy
- Clear speaking voice and exceptional communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Basic computer literacy and tech adaptability
- Valid Tennessee driver's license
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
