Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls with exceptional speed and accuracy
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed incident documentation and call logs
- Provide critical pre-arrival instructions to callers during emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Operate radio systems, TTY/TDD for hearing-impaired callers
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Minimum 40 WPM typing certification
- Valid Florida driver's license
- U.S. citizenship and 18+ years of age
- Pass comprehensive background check and polygraph
- Clear drug screen and medical evaluation
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Basic computer proficiency with Windows OS
