Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with exceptional accuracy and empathy
- Operate CAD systems and radio equipment to coordinate field units
- Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all communications
- Multi-task between call-taking, radio dispatch, and administrative tasks
- Adhere to strict protocols during critical incidents and crisis management
- Collaborate with law enforcement, fire, and EMS agencies
- Participate in continuous training to enhance emergency response capabilities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Proficient in computer applications with keyboarding skills (40+ WPM)
- Exceptional verbal communication and active listening abilities
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Must pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Valid Tennessee driver's license
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
