Responsibilities
- Answer and triage emergency/non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD systems during critical incidents
- Maintain accurate radio communications and database entries
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions to callers during emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents
- Operate 911 systems and specialized communication equipment
- Document all interactions with meticulous attention to detail
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- U.S. citizenship and minimum age of 18
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 35+ WPM with high accuracy
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal/written)
- Calm demeanor under extreme pressure
- Basic computer literacy and technical aptitude
- Valid Texas driver's license
