Responsibilities
- Process 911 and non-emergency calls with exceptional speed and accuracy
- Coordinate field resources for police, fire, and EMS during emergency situations
- Maintain detailed logs using CAD systems and departmental software
- Provide critical information to first responders during active incidents
- Execute multi-agency communication protocols during crisis scenarios
- Monitor alarm systems and surveillance feeds for public safety threats
- Train on NIMS and emergency management procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid Texas Driver's License (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass comprehensive background check
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency with computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems
- Completion of EMD/EMS dispatch training within 6 months
- Clear speaking voice and exceptional multi-tasking abilities
