Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and business lines
- Operate multi-channel radio systems to coordinate police/fire/EMS responses
- Input and maintain accurate incident data in CAD/RMS systems
- Provide clear, concise instructions to field units during critical incidents
- Monitor multiple communication channels simultaneously while maintaining composure
- Adhere to strict protocols for sensitive information and crisis intervention
- Participate in ongoing training to master departmental procedures and technologies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Exceptional verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn specialized software
- Proven ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
