Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with calm precision
- Operate radio systems and dispatch police units efficiently
- Maintain detailed call logs and digital records
- Provide critical information to officers in the field
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during emergencies
- Utilize CAD systems for real-time incident tracking
- Remain composed under high-pressure situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency with typing 40+ WPM
- Valid Florida driver's license
- US citizenship and residency in Duval County
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Pass hearing and vision tests per Florida standards
