Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with exceptional speed and accuracy
- Dispatch police officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed incident logs and documentation per NIMS protocols
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide life-saving pre-arrival instructions to callers
- Operate radio systems, emergency alert platforms, and mapping software
- Collaborate with law enforcement, fire, and medical teams seamlessly
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 50 WPM typing certification
- Valid Ohio driver's license (no DUI convictions within 5 years)
- Ability to pass extensive background check and polygraph examination
- Strong multitasking abilities under high-pressure situations
- Experience with CAD/RMS systems or emergency communications software
- Fluency in English (bilingual candidates strongly encouraged)
- No criminal history or felony convictions
