Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD/911 systems
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical units with location-specific protocols
- Maintain radio communication during critical incidents
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions via phone
- Enter/modify incident data in real-time databases
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major events
- Operate NCIC and state law enforcement systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid California Driver's License
- Pass background check, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Type 40+ WPM with 90% accuracy
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Clear speaking voice with diction skills
- US citizenship or legal resident status
- No felony convictions
