Responsibilities
- Receive, process, and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate radio communication with field personnel
- Enter/update incident data in law enforcement databases
- Provide critical information to officers and emergency responders
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and specialized equipment
- Assist in training new dispatchers after certification
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and procedural protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (tested during application)
- Basic computer literacy and multitasking ability
- Clear diction and calm demeanor under stress
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen
