Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch police units with precise location and situation details
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Utilize radio communication protocols per NCIC standards
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions when applicable
- Monitor surveillance feeds and security systems
- Adhere to NIMS and HIPAA compliance requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 90% accuracy
- Valid NC driver's license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and multi-tasking technology
- Clear articulation and calm demeanor under pressure
- No felony convictions and clean drug history
- US citizenship or legal resident status
