Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls and prioritize emergency dispatches
- Operate radio systems to coordinate police response
- Maintain accurate incident logs and computer records
- Provide critical information to officers in the field
- Calmly manage crisis situations and de-escalate callers
- Operate CAD systems and emergency communication tools
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and procedural guidelines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Tennessee driver's license
- Pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Ability to multitask under high-pressure situations
- Clear communication skills (verbal/written)
- Basic computer proficiency
- U.S. citizenship and residency in Shelby County
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
