Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls with calm professionalism
- Operate CAD/RMS systems and radio communications
- Dispatch police units with precise location/instruction details
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support
- Comply with all CA POST and departmental protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (certification required)
- Clear criminal background/driving record
- Basic computer proficiency (Windows/MS Office)
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts
- Valid California driver's license
- Pass multi-panel background investigation
- U.S. citizenship or legal residency status
