Responsibilities
- Receive and process emergency 911 calls and non-emergency requests for service with accuracy and speed.
- Utilize Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems to enter data, track units, and monitor calls.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and EMS personnel to incidents based on location and resource availability.
- Provide critical information to field units to ensure officer safety and effective response.
- Coordinate with other agencies and support units during multi-casualty or complex incidents.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information and records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and polygraph examination.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Typing proficiency (minimum 35-40 WPM).
- Ability to remain calm and composed under extreme pressure and stress.
