Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls and dispatch appropriate police/fire/EMS resources
- Maintain accurate radio logs and computer-aided dispatch records
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and emergency notification platforms
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques during critical incidents
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major emergencies
- Utilize NCIC/LETS databases for warrant/background checks
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Strong multitasking ability under high-pressure conditions
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, CAD systems)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
