Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with exceptional accuracy and empathy
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and radio communications equipment
- Coordinate with police officers, firefighters, and medical personnel during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all communications
- Provide critical information to first responders using established protocols
- Perform multi-tasking in high-pressure situations with minimal supervision
- Participate in continuous training programs to maintain certification standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid California Driver's License
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and psychological evaluation
- Exceptional communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese a plus)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Minimum 21 years of age at time of appointment
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
