Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with calm professionalism
- Operate multi-channel radio systems for police, fire, and EMS units
- Enter and maintain accurate incident data in CAD systems
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during critical incidents
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers in emergency situations
- Monitor surveillance feeds and alert field units to suspicious activity
- Complete detailed incident reports and documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with high accuracy
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- U.S. citizenship and valid Michigan driver's license
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Availability for flexible shift rotations (days/nights/weekends)
- Basic computer proficiency with Windows OS
