Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and precision
- Operate multi-line telephone systems and radio equipment
- Dispatch appropriate personnel (police, fire, EMS) to emergency scenes
- Maintain accurate logs and digital records of all communications
- Provide critical information and instructions to callers during emergencies
- Coordinate with other agencies and departments during multi-incident responses
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance emergency communication skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with high accuracy
- Proficient in computer-aided dispatch systems
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
