Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD systems with 99% accuracy
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed incident logs and radio communications protocols
- Provide clear, calm instructions to callers during emergencies
- Operate radio equipment, alarm systems, and NCIC databases
- Train on advanced dispatch protocols under supervision
- Assist in updating resource availability and unit statuses
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 18 years of age at time of hire
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Clear speaking voice with excellent communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, CAD systems)
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
