Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology
- Conduct physical pat-downs and baggage searches as required by security protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and identify prohibited items or suspicious behavior
- Operate and maintain TSA-approved security equipment with precision
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
- Enforce TSA regulations while maintaining courteous passenger interactions
- Document security activities and maintain accurate incident reports
- Participate in continuous training on evolving security threats and procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid state-issued driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to pass a thorough background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Proficient in operating security screening technology and software
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays on rotating schedules
- Ability to pass a medical examination and meet TSA fitness standards
