Responsibilities
- Receive and process emergency and non-emergency calls for service with speed and accuracy.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services to incident locations.
- Monitor multiple radio frequencies and CAD systems simultaneously to ensure situational awareness.
- Accurately record incident details, location information, and caller demographics into the dispatch database.
- Provide critical information to field units to ensure officer and public safety.
- Collaborate with field personnel to resolve issues and provide necessary support.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Proficient computer literacy and typing skills (minimum 35-40 wpm).
- Ability to remain calm and make quick, sound decisions under pressure.
- Must possess a valid North Carolina driver's license and a safe driving record.
