Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police officers, fire units, and medical responders with precision and urgency
- Maintain accurate real-time status logs of all active units and incidents
- Utilize CAD systems and radio communication protocols efficiently
- Provide critical instructions to callers during emergency situations
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Complete detailed incident reports and documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Strong typing skills (40+ WPM) with computer proficiency
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Calm demeanor under high-pressure situations
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights/weekends)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
