Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with exceptional accuracy and empathy
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) software
- Coordinate resources between police units, fire departments, and EMS
- Maintain detailed incident documentation and digital records
- Provide critical information to officers in the field during high-stress situations
- Adhere to strict protocols for crisis intervention and de-escalation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 90% accuracy
- Fluency in English (bilingual Spanish skills highly valued)
- U.S. citizenship and valid Florida driver's license
- Pass extensive background check and polygraph examination
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions or dishonorable military discharges
