Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines and manual search techniques
- Operate advanced security equipment and identify prohibited items
- Conduct pat-down searches and body scans as authorized
- Enforce TSA security regulations and maintain checkpoint efficiency
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies following established protocols
- Complete detailed documentation of security activities and incidents
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers during screening processes
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a background investigation
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to pass medical examination
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn security systems
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (additional languages preferred)
