Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Dispatch police officers, fire, and medical personnel using CAD systems
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and activities
- Remain calm under high-pressure situations during critical incidents
- Operate radio equipment and specialized communication software
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major emergencies
- Provide clear instructions to callers until help arrives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (required)
- US citizenship or legal resident status (required)
- Valid driver's license (required)
- Ability to type 35+ WPM (will be tested)
- Clear criminal background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Strong decision-making skills under pressure
