Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems with 99.7% accuracy
- Dispatch police/fire/EMS units using multi-channel radio communication protocols
- Maintain detailed incident logs and digital records per NIMS standards
- Utilize GIS mapping for precise location-based resource deployment
- Execute crisis intervention techniques during high-stress situations
- Coordinate multi-agency responses for major incidents
- Complete all state-mandated dispatcher certification requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in criminal justice preferred
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CAD/RMS systems
- Minimum 6 months customer service experience
- Fluency in English and Spanish (bilingual candidates strongly encouraged)
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence offenses
