You will monitor police and fire frequencies, answer emergency calls, and coordinate field units to ensure the safety of our community. Responsibilities
- Monitor police and fire radio frequencies for emergency alerts and unit status updates.
- Receive and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls from the public.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and EMS units to incident scenes with precise information.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date incident logs and records.
- Provide critical information to field units regarding traffic conditions and hazards.
- Collaborate with other dispatch centers and outside agencies as needed.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and maintain focus in a high-stress environment.
- No felony convictions or disqualifying criminal history.
- Proficiency in computer systems and data entry.
