Responsibilities
- Receive and process emergency and non-emergency calls, including 911 calls, with high accuracy and urgency.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and medical units to incident locations using two-way radio and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all calls, units dispatched, and incident information.
- Provide information and assistance to callers, including instructions for self-protection until help arrives.
- Monitor status of all units in the field and reassign resources as needed during high-volume or critical incidents.
- Collaborate with other agencies and support staff to ensure a coordinated response to community emergencies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Arizona Class D Driver’s License is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Proficiency in typing and basic computer operations.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Background check and medical screening will be required.
