Responsibilities
- Answer emergency/non-emergency calls with professionalism and urgency
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units via radio and computer systems
- Operate CAD software and maintain accurate incident records
- Provide clear instructions to callers during critical situations
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during emergencies
- Remain calm under pressure during high-stress scenarios
- Adhere to all FCC regulations and department protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Typing speed of 35+ WPM (verified assessment)
- U.S. citizenship and valid Ohio driver's license
- Pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Basic computer proficiency and multitasking ability
- Clear speaking voice and excellent communication skills
