Responsibilities
- Process 911 and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Dispatch police, fire, and emergency medical services units
- Maintain accurate records in CAD/RMS systems
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support
- Operate radio communication systems per FCC protocols
- Assist in training new dispatch personnel
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
- Valid Ohio driver's license
- Pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Experience in customer service or emergency services preferred
- Strong conflict resolution and multitasking abilities
