Responsibilities
- Deliver Mail: Transport mail to residential and business customers along an assigned route in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
- Sort and Process: Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail at the local distribution center or post office.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to customers, answer inquiries, and handle packages with care.
- Outgoing Mail: Collect and process outgoing mail, including operating postage meters and cancelling stamps.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks on the mail vehicle and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and USPS policies to ensure a secure working environment.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or a resident alien.
- Driver's License: Valid state driver's license with a good driving record.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Weather Tolerance: Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including heat and rain.
