Responsibilities
- Sort and Process Mail: Manually and mechanically sort incoming mail and packages to ensure accurate delivery routes.
- Deliver Mail: Transport mail to residential and business addresses in a timely and safe manner.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, answer questions, and resolve delivery issues.
- Vehicle Operation: Safely operate delivery vehicles (trucks or vans) as required by the route.
- Physical Stamina: Lift heavy packages, stand for extended periods, and walk long distances in all weather conditions.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all USPS safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
- Route Management: Organize mail efficiently to ensure the highest delivery accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- License: Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or have legal right to work in the U.S.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 70 lbs regularly and pass a background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read maps and address labels accurately.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as business needs dictate.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy for timekeeping and tracking systems.
