Responsibilities
- Cargo Handling & Sorting: Efficiently sort, process, and handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and parcels of varying sizes and weights.
- Vehicle Operations: Safely operate delivery trucks and vans to transport mail to designated routes and drop points.
- Customer Interaction: Deliver friendly and professional service to customers on the route and assist with inquiries at the service counter.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and USPS policies while operating machinery and driving.
- Route Management: Follow assigned routes and schedules meticulously to ensure 100% on-time delivery rates and address accuracy.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of sorting facilities and ensure equipment is in working order.
- Record Keeping: Accurately complete necessary paperwork, digital logs, and time reports.
Qualifications
- Eligibility: Must be a U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available).
- License: Valid Driverβs License (Commercial Class B preferred for delivery roles, standard license for clerk roles).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly, stand for long periods, and walk on various terrains.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read maps and GPS navigation systems.
- Reliability: A proven track record of punctuality and strong work ethic is essential.
