Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and business customers along established routes in a timely and efficient manner.
- Sort and organize mail before delivery to ensure accuracy and reduce misdeliveries.
- Interact professionally with customers, answering inquiries and resolving issues regarding missing or delayed mail.
- Maintain the safety and cleanliness of postal vehicles and the work area.
- Handle sensitive and confidential mail with the highest level of discretion and care.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting heavy packages (up to 70 lbs) and walking long distances daily.
- Adhere to all USPS safety protocols and traffic regulations while operating postal vehicles.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or have Permanent Resident status.
- Valid Driver's License (Class C) and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and a medical examination.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods (8+ hours).
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Good vision (corrected if necessary) and physical stamina.
