Responsibilities
- Sort and process incoming and outgoing mail efficiently and accurately to meet daily quotas.
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and business addresses along assigned routes in a timely manner.
- Operate postal vehicles and heavy machinery, such as mail processing equipment and forklifts, following all safety protocols.
- Interact with customers to answer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure satisfaction with postal services.
- Collect and process payments for postage and special services as required.
- Maintain accurate records of mail volumes, delivery logs, and inventory of supplies.
- Adhere to all USPS policies, procedures, and security regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks in all weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license (if operating a vehicle) and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are mandatory.
