Responsibilities
- Sort and process mail and packages efficiently according to delivery routes and priorities.
- Load and unload mail from delivery vehicles (trucks and jeeps) in all weather conditions.
- Deliver mail to residential and business addresses along assigned routes with accuracy and timeliness.
- Collect and process outgoing mail and packages.
- Interact professionally and courteously with the public while answering inquiries.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and address changes.
- Ensure the security of the mail and adherence to postal safety regulations.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
- Valid driver's license (commercial preferred but not always mandatory for entry-level).
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing up to 70 pounds repeatedly.
- Physical stamina to walk, stand, and bend for extended periods throughout the day.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and a medical examination.
