Responsibilities
- Screen and enroll residents in SNAP, Medicaid, and other public assistance programs
- Provide accurate benefit calculations and eligibility guidance
- Maintain confidential client records and documentation
- Collaborate with community partners to expand outreach efforts
- Process applications within strict compliance deadlines
- Conduct benefit verification and recertification activities
- Generate monthly reports on program performance metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, or related field
- 2+ years experience with public benefits programs
- Proficiency in case management software (e.g., Cerner, Maximo)
- Knowledge of Illinois state and federal regulations
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish
- Certified Public Benefits Coordinator (CPBC) preferred
- Ability to work with diverse populations in high-pressure situations
