Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize public benefit programs including SNAP, CalFresh, and housing assistance
- Conduct eligibility assessments and maintain accurate client documentation
- Develop outreach strategies to increase program accessibility underrepresented communities
- Analyze program data to identify trends and recommend policy improvements
- Collaborate with community organizations and government agencies for service coordination
- Prepare comprehensive reports on program performance and impact metrics
- Provide training to staff on benefit regulations and procedural updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in public benefits administration or social services
- Proficiency with case management software (e.g., CalWIN, MAXIS)
- Knowledge of California welfare regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish preferred
- Strong analytical abilities with data interpretation experience
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to obtain security clearance for sensitive data handling
