Responsibilities
- Process SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid applications with 48-hour turnaround
- Conduct eligibility interviews via phone and in-person at community centers
- Verify applicant documentation using state databases and cross-agency systems
- Generate weekly payment reports for program compliance auditing
- Collaborate with community organizations for outreach initiatives
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client data per HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Social Work or Public Administration (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years benefits processing or customer service experience
- Proficiency in Illinois Benefits System (IBS) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Bilingual English/Spanish certification required
- Valid Illinois driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
