Responsibilities
- Develop strategic communications plans for city departments and public initiatives
- Manage official social media channels with 500K+ combined followers
- Write press releases, speeches, and crisis communications materials
- Coordinate media relations and press conferences with local/regional outlets
- Produce digital content including videos, infographics, and web copy
- Analyze audience metrics to optimize engagement strategies
- Collaborate with emergency management during public safety communications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field
- 3+ years of professional communications experience
- Portfolio demonstrating digital content creation success
- Florida driver's license with clean record
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and CMS platforms
- Experience with government/public sector communications
