Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting underserved communities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and emerging threats
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Manage community outreach initiatives and health education campaigns
- Oversee compliance with federal/state health regulations (CDC, MDHHS)
- Lead cross-departmental task forces addressing social determinants of health
- Supervise program staff and manage departmental budgets
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health program management
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, Tableau)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, CDC guidelines, and Michigan public health codes
- Experience with community engagement in urban settings
- Valid Michigan driver's license
- PHR or CPH certification preferred
