Responsibilities
- Develop and execute public health education programs targeting underserved communities
- Collect, analyze, and report epidemiological data for disease surveillance
- Coordinate emergency preparedness responses and public health crises
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and community organizations on health initiatives
- Conduct health assessments and recommend policy improvements
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with regulations
- Provide public health consultations to city officials and community stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Strong knowledge of CDC guidelines and public health regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends for community events
