Responsibilities

- Oversee departmental budget allocation and resource optimization for health initiatives

- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and inform strategic planning
- Lead crisis response protocols for public health emergencies and disease outbreaks
- Manage grant applications and compliance for federal/state health funding programs
- Supervise public health staff and provide professional development guidance
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in public health or healthcare management
- Valid Michigan Public Health Administrator certification
- Proven expertise in grant writing and federal program compliance (e.g., CDC, HRSA)
- Advanced data analysis skills with proficiency in public health reporting tools
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in diverse urban environments
- Strong knowledge of Affordable Care Act implementation and health equity frameworks
- Experience with Detroit's public health landscape preferred
