Responsibilities
- Develop and execute public health programs addressing chronic disease prevention and emergency preparedness
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and prioritize intervention strategies
- Manage grant applications and ensure compliance with federal/state health regulations
- Coordinate community outreach initiatives with healthcare providers and non-profit organizations
- Lead interdepartmental task forces for public health crisis response planning
- Prepare comprehensive reports for the Board of Health and city officials
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public health program management or government healthcare
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or Healthcare Administration (ACHE) preferred
- Expertise in health data analysis using tools like SAS or SPSS
- Demonstrated success in securing and managing federal/state grants
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, ACA, and Indiana public health statutes
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present to diverse stakeholders
